As part of a wave of young designers and entrepreneurs OBS actively embraces an accountability for social consciousness, the environment and future generations.

OBS campaigns against all forms of discrimination: societally and specifically within the industries it operates. A commitment to gender and racial equality are at the forefront of OBS’s endeavour. OBS proactively seeks out collaborations with BIPOC and LGBTQI+ people, striving to reflect this approach at all levels in its supply chain. OBS does not tolerate racism or sexism and adopts a responsibility to directly address this in the fashion industry, whilst raising awareness beyond it.

Further the label identifies every opportunity along supply and value chains to meet internal social responsibility standards on the environment, consumption and sustainability.

OBS only creates timeless, seasonally independent pieces that are made to last. With a loving belief in the importance of community handcraft, each piece is produced locally by carefully selected makers. Even during the design process, minimising waste is a key focus, as OBS leaves out any unnecessary features.

Not only does a long-life cycle characterise each OBS piece, it is also reflected in the flat structure of the label itself. The ways in which OBS can offer future impact is clear in their long-term efforts to establish sustainable regional production, reduce waste in all areas, and create long term product concepts.

As part of a new generation of young designers and entrepreneurs, we are aware of our responsibility towards the environment and towards future generations. Our Company takes all opportunities along the supply-/ value-chain to meet our demands on ecology, economy and sustainability.

We strive to only produce timeless, seasonally independent and durable products. Due to our love for handcraft, everything is produced in locally in carefully selected manufactures.

The question to what extent our company is capable of impacting the future is answered by our effort to establish a sustainable regional production, reduce waste during material sourcing/production and creating long term product concepts.
